Dreams and Clouds

Once upon a time there was a little line that grew and soared among the clouds.  He grew and stretched his wings.  He danced with the stars, chased the raindrops over the hills and disappeared along the milky way.

He hid on the moon and etched out a bed, stars and clouds covered his slumbering form.  A finger of sunlight tickled his nose,  kissed his cheeks and

He woke up to soar among the clouds and stars again!

C is for Cross stitch

Cis  for CROSS STITCH ,  and thank you Jacqeline  for the idea!!  Today I am taking the fork in the road from my story.  But my reasoning is that CROSS STITCH just as important to my writing as any other distraction.  I can drift off and think about the next perplexing problem that Jake is experiencing as I stitch away.  It calms me down except when the frog comes to visit and his distinctive call of  “RIP IT RIP IT”  is heard and then I do get frustrated.

I have many projects and ufos (unfinished projects).  A few that I have posted here and there are more that have not made it onto the internet.   but yes CROSS STITCH is a very big part of my life.

This one is a free design from DragonDreams I follow her on Facebook  and I just love her designs.   I worked it on 16 count aida and it  is actually a finish for me !  The Little Line story on the other pages I have been posting is a loved project of mine as well. It is a design called Magic Dragon designed by Joan Elliott who has a site here too!

With CROSS STITCH  I can go on forever but…I won’t  Enjoy!!

The Next day

The next day the little line left the picture that it had dreamed about; and then it discovered something new.  Some how it didn’t need the flash and the pointed hat of the wizard.  It was following its own life something new and suddenly  it wanted to see where its own path would lead.
IMG_0608 (2)It grew and grew.  Baby little steps, but they were pieces of the puzzle leading to a new creation of its own.  And the line crept along getting stronger and more sure of its own place in the  pattern.   There still was a mystery of where its final destination would be, but the little line was happy and it waited for the next stitch; the next patch of color to emerge.IMG_0609 (2)

And it appeared…..

The path widens

IMG_0518The Little Line gasped, and no this was not what it was expecting.  For one thing the colors were not quite right.  It was more blues greens and yellows and gold that were its destiny.  And yes there was gold but the little line didn’t think that this was an ending to its journey.  There was going to be something different for it and the little line knew this deep within its crosses.
